What’s the path of least revision about? It’s not about editing less—it’s about publishing smarter. Founded in 2011, I offered a range of services and resources for author-publishers, from editing services to advice on publishing, marketing, and mindset.

To better understand everything that writing, editing, and self-publishing entails, I wrote and published fiction and nonfiction books. The nonfiction books are now out of print, but you can check out everything still available on my books page.

A lifelong reader, I’ve been talking about books online in some form for more than a decade. From the now defunct On a Book Bender blog to the updated-when-I-remember Amanda Reads MPLS, I post about books I’m reading or bookish things I’m doing. My main genre is romance, with the occasional sci-fi, fantasy, and nonfiction book. 

In 2011, I created the Bout of Books read-a-thon, which I co-ran with Kelly Apple until 2024. Bout of Books was a week-long read-a-thon that happened three times per year. By offering a low-pressure, highly encouraging read-a-thon, we created a wonderful community of book lovers. We now have a home on Discord.
